About The Process
Water Transfer Imaging
Water Transfer Imaging is the transferring of ink patterns or designs to 2-and 3-dimensional objects while dipping it into water. The process is often referred to as Cubic Coating or Hydro-Graphics.
Some common applications include decorated wood grained car dashes and camouflaged guns, all-terrain vehicles, and archery bows. The process can be applied to any object that can be painted and that will not be harmed by being immersed in water momentarily. Items can be altered to resemble woods, metals, stones, camouflages, and many other illusionary designs.
How does it work?
A thin film is laid on top of a water tank and the object is dipped through the film into the water. The film tightly wraps the object, following the smallest of details and ensuring complete coverage of the object.
